| The D1 form is where to start your driving licence application. You can apply online for the form. It can only be ordered to a UK postal address. This form asks for your details and needs to know exactly what you are applying for. It also asks you to disclose basic medical information and whether you expect to pass the visual standards.
The D1 form is no longer available as a downloadable document. You will need a passport quality photo to go with the D1 application. You must be aged over 15 years nine months. You must be able to meet the visual acuity test: you should be able to read a vehicle licence plate at a distance of 20 metres. Application cost is £34. It can be downloaded below:
